	Anthomyia liturata en Anthomyia confusanea hebben allebei als enigste soorten binnen de familie Anthomyiidae de crossveins verdonkerd in de vleugels. Anthomyia liturata heeft 2 anterior dorsal setae op de midtibia Anthomyia confusanea heeft maar 1 anterior dorsal seta op de midtibia Anthomyia liturata and Anthomyidae confusanea are the only species wiithin the family Anthomyiidae with the crossveins infuscated. Anthomyia liturata has 2 anterior dorsal setae on the midtibia Anthomyia confusanea has only 1 anterior dorsal seta on the midtibia
